About Us

Donegal Enterprise Awards 2019 Winner
Innealtoireacht JC Teoranta T/A JC Engineering is a leading steel fabrication company in the North West and has made its mark both nationwide and in the UK.

JC Engineering started trading in 1997 from a small workshop based in Cloghan. We are located on the edge of the Gaeltacht an Láir, just 10 mins outside Ballybofey on the Glenties Road.

By the year 2000, JC Engineering moved into a larger workshop facility that it operates from today. The business is constantly evolving with the acquisition of new machinery and range of services.

JC Engineering designs, fabricates and fits bespoke products for the, Industrial/Commercial, agricultural and retail sectors. We are focused on redesigning elements to better position itself in the market and strive for further growth.

In 2014, JC Engineering, were one of the first metal fabrication companies to become CE accredited for Structural Steelwork in Donegal. CE Marking is now a legal requirement for all Structural Steel products and we work hard to maintain accreditation. We are also a member of the National Guild of Master Craftsmen.

Managing Director James Coyle has invested in the future of JC Engineering and has set up a sister company Bluestack Street Products, an online platform which can supply a range of products, servicing the private, commercial, pharmaceutical and food manufacturing industries.

The company size is critical to its success according to Mr Coyle. "We are small enough to respond to individual customer requirements quickly but large enough to provide a high level of manufacturing, on a short time frame," he said. This type of flexibility has become key to their success, JC Engineering along with their highly skilled workforce strives, at all times to meet customer deadlines, which delivers an excellent reputation.

Employing approx. 20 staff, mainly from the local area, JC Engineering has worked hard to build a reputation, which is based on their ability to continually provide high-quality bespoke products to its customers.

The company provides continued training to its employees and the company has engaged with the apprenticeship programs to meet with industry demands.

With a dedicated, loyal team and a fully equipped modern workshop facility, JC Engineering can bring to life, any idea, creating bespoke metalwork from almost any design or material.

We can supply products in the following materials: Mild Steel, Stainless Steel, and Aluminium (all in various grades) and in the following finishes: Galvanised, Painted and Powder-Coated
Where possible on many projects high quality products are sourced from Irish Suppliers such as Tegral, Duggan Steel, Rilco and Kingspan.

JC Engineering has invested in future a wide range of machinery at the workshop that can provide the following services:

Be Prepared

Mr Coyle has good advice for anyone setting up in business.
"Be prepared to work hard, they tell you the first year is the hardest, it may be, but every year has its challenges that have to be overcome. Know your numbers! Be as informed as possible about your start up's true costs. The best advice on this will come from somebody who has travelled the road you are about to embark upon".

What was a small engineering workshop has now become an expanding multidisciplinary company. As the company grows, its focus lies on innovation, productivity and developing online services to keep the firm competitive. JC Engineering and Bluestack Street products are focusing on leveraging that growth to become an ever more active player in the Engineering Industry.
